Vehicle description
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, 383 big block (matching numbers), Torqueflite transmission (long gone). Let"s get down to brass tacks: This thing needs a helluva lot more than some soap and a can of wax. I bought the car in 1994 back in college and never had money/time to finish it. It has the original engine (matching numbers) and has been bored 0.030 over, torque honed, line honed, and deck cleaned. Rods polished and peened/balanced, new pistons balanced. Crank polished (if I recall). Includes gasket set, oil pumps, etc. The heads have bronze guides installed and hardened seats. It has all the metal (sans the deck lid and trunk pans that give swiss cheese a run for the money). It needs lots of body work (floor plans/trunk). It has the fenders, door, trim, etc. Actually most of that is in pretty good shape, no rust. Rallye gauges in great shape. Has all the engine parts (52 card pickup). It is at my fathers place and we recently moved him into assisted living and need to clear out his property to take care of him. There is some paper work when it was bought, not sure if I have the title (but do have the bill of sale when I purchased it and some DMV stuff). It will be sent if found. The car is in Crestline, Ca. (no additional charge on pine cones) however I live in Chicago. My older brother Scott will handle the transaction, show, etc as he lives close. Best offer takes this sweet Mopar home. Ok, sweet may be a stretch. She"s going to take more work than your average train wreck but Mopar folks are a special breed. Make this sublime big block come back to life again to properly terrorize pavement and neighbors.
