Vehicle description
Vehicle Details For sale is a really nice and very unusual and rare 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7. This is a rust free California car that is loaded with options. Included is the M code 351 4 Barrel engine, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, and an AM/8 track stereo. The car runs and drives very smoothly and it accelerates really nicely. Of course what makes this car so unusual and rare is the vinyl top which is so 1970. These tops were Mercury's answer to being cool and hip in 1970. They were designed for Ford by a female fashion designer. Only 544 cars were built with this option and the only thing I can tell you is if you pull into a gas station with this thing. .get ready. The top is in excellent condition. The car is in very nice driver condition. What is also unusual about this car is where it spent its life. .Carmel, California. This car was frequently seen around Carmel (yes once people see it. .they tend to remember it) and visited Clint Eastwood's hangout. .the Hogsbreath saloon on occasion. I am not sure if Clint ever laid eyes on it but odds are pretty good given that this rare cat that lived in Clint's backyard and Carmel is a small town. If you are looking for a great driving Cougar that will set you apart. .here you go. The only reason this car is being sold is that we are building a home and need to sell some of the herd. With that said. .we really want it to go to a good home. The car is located in West Sacramento, California. Because the car is an old car. .it is sold with no warranty. Please contact me to set up a time to see and drive it. My phone number is in the last picture. Thanks very much. Images Download the Motors app
