VIN 124870L525555: Chevrolet, Eight Cylinder Camaro, Coupe, 1970, Built in Van Nuys, CA Block Stamp OL525555 T0521CRE: Sequential match, 350ci, 3 speed auto, 300hp, SS Trans Stamp 0*525555 second character possibly a 1, hard to tell, but Sequential match Rear Diff Stamp 87890 Built First week of June in Van Nuys, Paint Code 51 Daytona Yellow, Interior Code TR 711 Black 2 owners since new. Nut and Bolt restoration. Professionally built. Everything has been gone through and rebuilt, refreshed, or replaced if needed. This is teetering on the line of being a #1 condition car. This is essentially a showroom representation of the iconic split bumper muscle car that will be cherished for generations to come. No corners were cut, no mickey mouse rush jobs. The attention to detail is well represented in the 150 pics and 4k video, but I also urge personal inspection of the car. This is one to be proud of and is sure to take home trophies at every show. I would consider this car a blue chip. With a rich pedigree, she will only increase in value, and she is an absolute blast to drive! Numbers matching 350 ci and TH350 transmission. She was rated 300 horsepower from the factory and the 3 speed was a nice upgrade in 1970, making freeway speeds a lot smoother. The engine and trans were completely rebuilt and resealed. No smoke, no stutter, no hesitation. She runs cool and crisp. Plenty of pep, and ultra-smooth shift points. A wonderful exhaust note. Quiet in the cockpit but you will know it’s a healthy V8 when you put your foot in it. Silky smooth power steering, everything on the car is new. Suspension feels great. Not too soft, not too harsh. Driveshaft is balanced and there’s no vibrations or wandering like so many old cars tend to project. 12 bolt posi rear-end handles the power with ease. Welded rear sway bar brackets as expected on the SS, she is really ready to hit the road. Power disc brakes up front with no diving, no shaking. Her road manners are excellent. One hand on the wheel going 75 in the left lane no problem. Her mechanicals are properly sorted and it’s easy to notice when you get behind the wheel. Front to back, she is all dialed. Every hose, line, clamp, nut, spring, bolt, wire, it’s all dialed! When you get under the car on a lift and shine your light, you will be blown away at the level of detail. The wheels are like new. Bias ply tires may not be for everyone, but I couldn’t come to take them off. I figure the next owner can have some fun on them before replacing. It’s way too easy to light ‘em up! The body and paint are just outstanding. The first thing you notice on the car is the wet look on the finish. Countless hours went into the prep on this car. Daytona yellow was not a common color ordered by the dealers, and it certainly stands out among the rest. I photographed the car in direct sunlight and also at dusk in an effort to capture the beauty of this shade of yellow. The option to add the stripes is easy, and it was considered prior to listing, but after some time spent admiring the solid theme, I grew to love it as is. All of the brightwork is immaculate. Nothing is dull or faded, she’s a real pleasure to wipe down. It’s really hard not to just stand there and stare at the car, its that nice. All of the glass and rubber is in excellent shape. The split bumper front end is as cool as it gets, there is no mistaking this car when you see it. The rear spoiler and rear bumperettes complete the SS rear end, along with the chrome dual exhaust tips. Inside the car is as cool as the outside. A smooth blend of 100% original equipment and some new touches that are needed on a 51-year-old car. The carpet and seat covers have been refreshed. The springs and foam inside the seats are wonderful, no aches and pains after an hour cruise. The wood trim option is aged to perfection. The original gauges are nice and clear, illumination and dimming all in working order. The 8k tach is one of the SS features that really stands out. No cracks in the dash, everything is tidy and nice. AC blows cold and the AM radio works awesome. The console appears to be original, including operational light, with some signs of wear. Lap belts appear to be original, and the overhead shoulder belts are in such great condition I believe they are either NOS or reproductions. Headliner is perfect. Grabbing the console shifter is a notable experience. There is just something about putting her in drive that makes you get excited to hit the gas. A couple notable flaws that a lot of sellers may leave out of the description…. The original console shows signs of wear. Nothing too bad or needing replacement, but there is fatigue that isn’t noticed unless looking for it. It functions fine but there are hairline cracks on the driver’s side right above the seat bolster. At the time of this write up, the gear indicator is not functioning, nor is the fuel gauge. I will have my guys check it out if they have time before auction ends, but currently non op. All other gauges work as they should. There was a small amount of touch up paint used around the striker posts as the doors were adjusted a few mm after weather stripping installed. That’s it, those are the only flaws to note. I have done my best to describe the car and provide as many details as I could, including 150 high-res photos and 4k resolution video. I highly encourage personal inspections, and I welcome questions. If you need more info please ASK! I did the best research I could on the car’s identity, but I am in no way an expert on Camaros, and I encourage anyone that wants to authenticate the cars pedigree to please do so. My number is Seven six zero. Eight two two. Zero two six nine. Bidders will be verified before auction close, too many flakes on these days, I will never understand their motive. If you have zero feedback score, please contact me prior to bidding, or you rbid may be cancelled. No warranty is expressed, written, nor implied. The car is sold as is, where is. I reserve the right to end auction early. I am happy to help with shipping at the buyer’s expense. Clean California title with current non op registration. No back fees, no drama, no salvage, no bs stories or delays. $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due 24 hours after auction close, full payment due within 5 days. Cash preferred, or bank wire. Cahiers check accepted but car doesn’t leave until funds clear. This is a heritage piece. An iconic part of American muscle car history with a stacked pedigree. Bid with confidence as the value of this car is only going to go up. Most of them were hot rodded and hacked up. Everyone that has seen this car has been amazed at how clean it is. Good luck and Happy bidding!
