1970 Buick GS 455 Convertible For auction is this beautiful and fast, real deal, Buick GS 455 Convertible, Documented by Sloan Longway. I bought this car 4 years ago from a gentleman in FL who was an avid Buick collector and drag racer. He owned this car since the mid 80’s in the North East. In the late 80’s, early 90’s he had the body restored and painted the car correct GSX Saturn yellow from the original Burnished Saddle color and added the GSX stripes and Spoilers. He had TA Performance in AZ build a killer 455 ci motor to go racing/cruising and shows. The car saw very little usage over the next 25 plus years. I set off to perform as perfect a restoration of the car as possible without doing a body off. See video below. Highlight copy and paste in another window to view. TA Performance built 455 ci motor with engine spec. sheets, 73 Block, runs very strong, est 600+ HP Holley 850 DP, TA Aluminum Intake Manifold, electric fuel pump. 400TH built transmission, 10” Stall converter. Balanced drive shaft with loop. External trans cooler/filter, B&M temp gauge. TA Performance, 2” dia Long Tube Headers, Ceramic Coated Black, 3” exhaust with DynoMax Mufflers. 3:55 10 Bolt posi rear end, rear sway bar MSD Ignition, Distributor, Coil, Wires, Column mounted shift light. 3 Core Aluminum radiator. External under hood vacuum tank with gauge. AutoMeter gauges, Tachometer, Volts, Vacuum, Oil Pressure, Water Temp. New Battery. Everything under hood, in fact most everything on this car has been either restored or replaced and is in working condition. Front Disc brakes rebuilt, new master cylinder, front Sway Bar. Rear aluminum drum brakes. Single stage Saturn Yellow paint applied in 1989. Many many hours spent wet sanding, touch up painting and polishing has restored this paint to very nice level. Same attention was paid to the black painted GSX stripes. All new NOS Emblems. However, the paint is 30 years old and does have some minor wear/patina in a few spots but is considered to be excellent local show quality. With that being said as you can see from the pics and video it is very nice quality. New convertible top and glass rear window and well liner. Power top works as it should. Top seals and weather strips in good condition. New door panels, rebuilt restored electric motors, guides, tracks and door mechanisms. New switches All new door weather strips, whiskers and anything else that was needed. Dash and instrument panels restored, AM/FM stereo however speaker is a little crackly. New carpet, restored console, restored seat belts. Front 2 way power driver’s seat, bucket seats rebuilt and covers re-stitched New Rear Seat covers. 15 x 7 Rally Wheels with new BF Goodrich TA Radials. 15 x 7 spare Rally wheel, Nice jack, Trunk floor was stripped and painted correct splatter paint AC car however not installed, Heater is not hooked up.
