Vehicle description
1970 Austin America. Runs like the proverbial top, currently tagged and driven weekly. Has a 1100 cc MG motor and 4 speed trans. Motor rebuilt with many upgrades about 2300 miles ago. New main and con rod bearings. Hi-Comp pistons and street performance cam. Lightened Clubman "S" flywheel with new clutch and throw out bearing. New motor and trans mounts. Spin-on oil filter and external oil cooler and aux. oil pressure gauge. Front suspension and brakes all attended to with many new parts as needed. Brand new NOS complete exhaust from front to back. Gas tank dropped, boiled out and sealed with a new fuel pump. Essentially new set of 4 Yokohama all-season tires. The body is basically sound with rust holes on the middle of each rocker and behind each rear wheel, see small dent under LH taillight. One small hole on rh sill. The car was originally light blue, it has a very poor re-paint in black. Has a leaky aftermarket sunroof. Interior is from a 1971 model and is serviceable. No headliner, carpets or sun visors. Seat belts need replacing. All glass is good, needs new windshield rubber and trim. Bumpers are fair. Lights, blinkers, heater, etc. all work. Comes with a fifth spare rim, set of 4 used beauty rings for the wheels, orig. jack, a factory workshop manual and the cool original dealer key pouch. This car deserves to be taken to the next level. Please ask any questions before bidding. I will gladly assist your shipper and am willing to hold the car up to a month in my garage if arranged in advance. A 250.00 deposit is required with 48 hours of end of auction. The car is sold as-is, where-as with no warranty. Thanks, Greg.
