Vehicle description

So this has to be the last real BBG 1970 AMX with its original paint. At least most of the car is original paint, to include the door where the trim tag and vin decal is located. This car is one of 74 built in 1970 in this color. Even rarer to have a 4 speed 390 Go Pac car and even rarer with machine rims. The car is in Eddie Stakes Registry and I have spoken to him several times regarding the history on this particular car. He knew of this car, back in the day. Eddie is a great guy and is a wealth of knowledge and in particular with the 70. This car was originally sold in Texas and was in Galveston (the emissions decal is on windshield) the car then was in Florida for a few years and then Georgia where I purchased it. The guy I got it from didn’t have a lot of info, but I tracked down the prior owner who provided me some details. I wish I could keep her but I have way to many projects and this car needs to be restored. The car is fairly solid for a 70, but has rust in some of the typical places like the rear lower quarters (repop lowers come with car) and it has some rust in strange places like the top front portion of the fenders (was told this is typical for a coastal area in Texas). The outer rockers are fairly solid and the roof is super solid amazing, along with door areas. Doors both look pretty good and trunk lid and trunk floor as well. Floor pans have some rust (repop pans come with car) and the forward inner rockers need replacement (repop metal goes with car) the only super bad area is the trunk weather strip channel area and I have a complete rear clip included in the sale. The car retains the original transmission, hurst shifter, radiator, hard to find reverse lock out and rear end. Front windshield is clear and original and has scratches, quarter windows are original and have great rubber seals. The rear window is clear and has been removed but is included in sale. The door glass is not in the doors, but two extra doors are Included with glass as well as an extra passenger window. Original antenna is broken and I don’t have the grill. The prior owner told me original 390 was blown years ago. The car currently has a 304 and she doesn’t run. If you know AMXs, you know that the 1970 block and heads are specific to 1970, and there are. NO MATCHING number engines. The info was on a tag (engine type, month and date of build) that was screwed to the passenger valve cover. I know several AMX guys that have the correct original 1970 engine with dog leg heads, and all the other original parts. I will provide the buyer with their contact info. Car is a real deal Go Pac with original power disk brakes (calipers are included), ram air set up with air cleaner (restored chrome lid). The car has an amazing rust free set of restored machine rims with real nice original trim rings and reproduction center caps. The tires are the correct Goodyear radials offered in 1970. I recently restored the rims and mounted and balanced the tires. The car comes with a ton of extra parts to include; -Extra front bumper -Rear clip, repop floor pans, lower quarters, inner rockers -repop legendary door panels with upper metal. -undamaged original tail lights(no center back up) -rear tail light bezels -two extra doors with all parts -solid ram air hood from Utah (has a minor dent in hood) -correct front seats with extra tracks -Space saver spare and jack -extra set of front fenders(from 68) -extra passenger clear glass -repop dash pad -an additional1970 dash -correct 1970 simulated louver rocker mounding panels
And wait I am not done. I have a 68 parts car I will include with the sale. Has some great sheet metal, to include a solid trunk. However, I will need to rear out of the car. You don’t need to take the 68, and if you do want it you can leave it here for up to 90 days. I am sure I have more parts to include, so I will try and get some additional photos with everything. This is one hell of a deal for a super rare car. Send me a message and I’ll send you photos.
-Before bidding, please contact me with you user name, legal name and state. I have been on Ebay for 20 plus years and most people are top notch, but I just want a committed buyer. I don’t want to hear your wife didn’t approve. I don’t want this car tied up. I want it bought, paid for and to a new home. BBG car can stay here on my property for 60 days, however new owner must transfer title and put insurance on her if she stays on my property for a length of time.
-I have the right to end this auction at anytime until there is a bid, as it is listed elsewhere.
BBG car has a clear Florida title in my name. 1968 parts car does not have a title. Absolutely do not bid on this car unless you can complete transaction and pay in full within 7 days. Payment must be a certified bank check, cash in person or wire transfer. $2,000.00 deposit due within 48 hours of auction end via PayPal.
Car is sold as is where it is, I have described everything as best as I can. Car does not run and needs to be restored. Restored this is probably a 50k plus car with today’s hot antique car market. Please email me questions not pertaining to offers below asking price or how you think things should be.
