Vehicle description
This little Fastback runs well, has been maintained, but not restored at all. When I got it, it had been rear-ended and the rear deck lid couldn"t close. I had a frame shop pull out the back end, and replaced the deck lid. We replaced the transaxle, and converted it to carburation. The stock fuel injection had become unreliable, and my mechanic recommended put duel carbs on it. It has 2 Weber single throat carburators now. The fuel injection and original exhaust I still have and will include them. It was faster with fuel injection. The body is passible. There are rust-throughs under both headlights, a crease in the driver"s side door and fender, and some bodyshop did a bad job repainting the hood. I also have a replacement rear fender for the driver"s side as well. The interior needs to be replaced. It"s moldy from leaking at the windshield and quarter windows, The front seat covers are pretty gone, and the carpet needs to be replaced. The dash pad is pretty cracked. The driver"s seat should be replaced entirely. It won"t sit upright anymore. The floorpans are original and solid. The windshield is foggy around the corners. It"s been a fun little car. The 2 trunks are an amazing feature unique to the Fastback. I have gotten lots of thumbs-up for the car, but I don"t have space to keep it.
