“There are more parts than listed, but these are the ones I can remember. The right front fender was dented by the trailer ramp dropping onto it the day I put it in it’s current storage unit. :( I have clear title in Indiana. Original color was chromeblau (light blue). Again, I will not part out. I know there’s probably more money in parts but I don’t have time or interest in that. If you do, buy it and part it out. Buyer will need to bring car hauler trailer and probably a pickup truck or van to haul the extra parts. I will not ship. Car is stored 90+ miles from my home in Liberty, Indiana so I am unable to take more pictures easily. Sold as-is, where is. Buyer has 14 days to pickup after completion of auction.”

Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1969 Volkswagen Karman Ghia Cabriolet Type 14 is a project vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven. Seller"s Notes There are more parts than listed, but these are the ones I can remember. Buyer has 14 days to pickup after completion of auction. Vehicle Details 1969 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet Project - After twenty years of ownership its time to give it up to someone who will do justice to this little car. Bought in Alabama in 2001 - stripped down to a rolling chassis, parts all boxed, had the body primed with self etching primer, accumulated a lot of parts for the big restoration - and stored inside while dreaming of completing. A new (smaller) project that I am actually taking on makes it time for this car to find a new home. If you read this far, you probably already know that 1969 is the year - IRS, small taillights, bullet turn signals, front disc brakes, and overrider bumpers make this the enthusiasts’ Karmann Ghia and this one is the Cabriolet. Compared favorably to the original Porsche Speedster in Car&Driver (maybe MT?) of the era (I have the magazine, but not in front of me.) Lots of extras - Will not separate so please don’t ask. Two engines - original 1500 single port (ran great) and IRS transaxle worked fine. Also with AE dual port that I have never run and a second transaxle. Two top frames, one with white vinyl top that could be reinstalled. Original glass rear window is included and intact. All glass is there and two extra doors and extra hood. Complete original, no-tears brown vinyl interior is there. Brand new heat exchangers, door interior panels, new Rocky Mountain motorwerks wiring harness, proper dash pad and dash “woodgrain” panel. Holley “bugspray” carb, rebuild kit, and two chrome manifolds for that carb, new complete body rubber kit from RMMW, original and extra set of overrider bumpers and two NOS rear bumper ends. I also bought repair panels to completely re-do rockers (with proper cab reinforcing rails), and rear fenders/ wheel arches.) All of the various pieces are there. Everything was boxed and saved together. I did put adjustable front torsion bar front axle on but original is also included. Extra set of sun bug wheels are included that I had planned to chrome and install. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
