Vehicle description
“Rutledge Wood TV STAR from Lost in Transmission and Top Gear was the mind behind this microcar. He signed the glove box.
I was told by several people there are less than 200 of these on the road in the USA.
This Subaru has, front disc brakes, chassis, Engine and transmission upgraded. This will be a great car to putter around in and tinker on.
Micro cars are increasing in value. These are great investments. They are cute neat and get a lot of attention. Do not buy this van if you are shy and don’t want to be noticed. Everywhere you go someone will ask what it is or tell you how they love it. People will want to take their picture with it.
I don’t have a title but I know these can be registered for the road. They are Street legal. The seats and interior panels have all been redone along with carpeting and headliner.
With some work this could be the neatest little van. Turning radius is limited maybe a different rack for front.
I am selling it as non operable for safety reasons. The linkage that puts van into gear was fabricated when they upgraded the engine and transmission. with and electric switch and is really cool but I have no time to sort it out. looks like it is missing a nut and needs to be aligned.
Feel free to ask any questions. 1969 360 microcar Subaru sambar
