Up for auction is an extremely rare 1969 Opel GT. What make this Opel so special is that it is one of the very few built with the 1.1 L engine and dual carb. set up from the factory. According to most articles there were just a handful Opel GT"S equipped with the 1.1 L dual carb. engine. Also they were not shipped to the USA for sale. Of the very few that are in the US they were probably just like this one, purchased by someone in the military stationed in Germany then had it shipped to the US. This is a true European model. The speedometer is in Kilometers. Check out the super clean interior. From the carpet to the headliner it is in exceptional condition. The body is in great shape. The belly pan (battery area) is in great shape with no signs of rust. The car runs out great. The lights flip just fine. Just an all around great and rare car. Opel GT"S in this condition are getting harder to find and the price continues to increase. The very few equipped like this one are really increasing in value. After doing some research I only know of maybe 5 of the 1.1 L Dual Carb. in the USA. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping. A $1000.00 deposit is due within 3 days after the auction ends.
