Vehicle description

This is a 1969 Cougar XR-7 Convertible it has a 351 2V Windsor motor,Auto trans., Power disc brakes,Power steering ,Factory air,Tilt fly away steering wheel,AM 8 track tape player,Power windows, Tinted glass,Factory style steel wheels set of 4 ,Rare ! Leather seat interior, All gauge dash, all the XR-7 lights and switches . This was the 1st year of the cougar convertible so most collectible year .So a little history about the car i bought the car in 1993 it had a rebuilt motor in it at the time when i bought it it now has 44,000 miles on the engine ,it was my daily driver for many years ,Things i did to it when i bought the car in 1993 i had the transmission rebuilt,New rear leaf springs,New front end upper and lower control arms with new coil springs,New KYB shocks all around ,power steering was rebuilt,New heater core installed that"s a biggie ! . brakes were redone all this is now 25 years ago ,Currently the car was stored for 10 years in my garage just had the carburetor rebuilt and a new fuel pump ,car runs and drives things i noticed the power brake booster is leaking causing a hard brake pedal brakes do need service ,Power top works fine as do the power windows, back windows are slow to work need grease ,AM radio works tape player does not ,AC needs recharge / service, compressor spins fine ,Head lights stay down hold vacuum,Tilt wheel goes up and down but does not fly away it used to work fine,Engine has a ruff idle suspect a vacuum leak from the brake booster, Interior is all there but seats are worn see pictures Dash pad is beautiful straight and solid , Car is a west coast car from Washington state it was originally a dark Jade green metallic with the current ivy gold interior rare color combo. The underside floor boards and rockers / quarter panels are solid .The truck lid was replaced cause the mounting hinges were rusted. The top is 25 years old and stiff has a 1 inch tear and one of the bows is bent but can be straighten doesn`t effect top function. There is exterior rust which is typical on these cars please see photos worst part is in the back trunk drain channels nothing that can`t be fixed . The car is a restoration project and is being Sold AS-IS where is currently in Palm Springs Calif. clean title and road registered These Cars are getting hard to find and keep going up in value and a car loaded like this is well worth restoring !
