For Sale- 1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible VIN- 9F92H558406 My finance and I recently inherited this 1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible from her father who passed away. He took extremely good care of the car and it was garaged the entire time. We decided to sell the car and let someone else appreciate it. We had the vehicle sold and I was driving it to deliver it to the buyer. On the way to drop it off with the new buyer it was raining out in Tallahassee, FL. I was getting on the I-10 Eastbound interchange ramp and hit a slippery spot and the cars back end fishtailed and the car lost control. It wound up half way in the wooded tree line on the interchange ramp (see pictures). I was going approximately 25mph when it lost control and I hit the brakes and it slid off the pavement and into the tree line. There was no other cars involved. The car was towed back to a Tallahassee residence close by and put back in the garage. It still starts up and was able to drive, but has front end body work that is now needed (see pictures). We do not want to deal with fixing it so we are selling it "As is". Unless you are local in Tallahassee I would recommend you put the car on a flat bed truck and have it shipped. I included some pictures of how it looked prior to the accident and also the pictures I took after the accident.
We have a clear title. The car has a 351 engine and has a black and tan interior. It has A/C, but needs to be charged (currently blow warm). Prior to the accident we had a professional appraisal done and it appraised at $29,500. Included with the car and this auction is a garage full of Cougar parts (please see google drive pictures below, parts included are towards the end of the pictures). My finances father was a Mercury Cougar enthusiast and had many spare parts he accumulated over the years. The below link contains several pictures of the vehicle prior to the accident and also all of the spare parts that are included with this auction.
