* * Price Reduced from $15k to sell!* * If it does not sell in this listing. I plan to address the minor cosmetics in November. Then list it next spring or summer in the $20k-$25k range.* * So it will only be available for sale here on ebay until October 21st at this price. It"s also for sale locally on Craigslist Chicago through Novemeber 2nd. Call 708 609 5227.
This car looks, runs and drives great! It gets a lot of attention. It is laser straight and rock solid. The only area that has rust is the lower edge of the deck lid (see pics and video). Of which I have been quoted $900 for that repair.
I purchased it in 2016 from the 2nd owner. The sides had been repainted very nicely some time ago. The previous owner told me that was do to it having been keyed. There is no evidence of rust repairs. So I believe that to be true. All the original sheet metal is in tact. Body lines and gaps are straight. It still retains the original canvas top and paint on the jams, hood and deck. The hood and deck still shine. But do have imperfections. The car is a very nice, driver quality classic. Take it anywhere proudly. But you"re not going to win a car show with it. However, it is perfect to make into a show quality car.
Since I"ve owned it. New battery, cables, starter solenoid, 17" Cragars, gas gauge float, rebuilt Autolite carb, mufflers and tail pipes. It is a very dependable driver! All 4 power windows work. Both power seats work. Power antenna works. Radio only works on AM. A/C is original R-12 and blows warm. But compressor spins. Will probably need an R134 conversion.
Also, the original paint on the cowl panel was cracking and flaking. So I had it stripped and powder coated satin black (to match the roof) the week before listing it. I like the look. If you don"t. That can easily be addressed with the trunk repair.
So. why am I selling this car? I have too many cars. I"ve lost my winter storage garage and need the space. I don"t want to have a car under a cover in my driveway over the winter months. Plus I have a 71 Mark III custom convertible. So even though I really like this car. I don"t need 2 Mark III"s.
Please ask any questions you have and have funds available before making this purchase. Many more photos are available to serious buyers. All funds must clear before the vehicle and title are released. I would like to speak to any potential buyer prior to ending the listing. Just to make sure we agree on all details of the sale. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. But I am near major interstates and can help load if necessary. Please be patient with email response time. I will check periodically during the day. But I am old school. A bit of a dinosaur with technology. LOL!
This vehicle is for sale locally. So the listing could end early. Thank you for viewing.
* * If you do not like the look of the Cragar mag wheels. I do have the original 15" steel wheels and Lincoln hub caps. I would be more flexible on offers with the original wheels on the car. But please keep in mind. There are Mark III"s that some sellers are asking $35k-$45k for. While this car is Not a $35k-$45k car now. It"s the perfect car to take to that level. Just check the HAGERTY and NADA Values. Also the prices some of the dealers here on are asking. It"s a great investment! * *
