“ Vintage 1969 Jeep CJ5 - This Jeep has been in our family since new and only has around 80,000 miles. Mostly original with the Dauntless 225 V6 engine. Runs perfect, drives great, everything works. Minor rust on rear quarter panel where spare tire mount was and where there was minor damage and body repair. Frame and body tub are super solid without rust as you can see in pictures. Original engine, transmission and transfer case. Factory limited slip rear end and 4.88 gears. Only minor modifications: Buick HEI distributor (circa 1975), electric fuel pump, Chevy truck alternator, dual exhaust, Saginaw steering, 3 inch lift. Supertop is in good shape, one patch as shown in photo. The winch works and is totally operative. I replaced the speedo cluster when it showed 73k, now showing 12k. Dad used it primarily for a few camping and hunting trips per year. Always garaged. Reliable and trail worthy as it is, it is presently our 2nd car. Or, if you want a restoration project, it is all here. ” |
