Vehicle description
1969 Ford Torino GT project car. No time or storage for car as I have a boat coming out of the water that needs the car"s driveway real estate.
I acquired the car from the second owner. Car was sold in Long Island, lived its life there and has sat since 2012. It is not running and I have not been able to get it to turn over. The second owner I bought the car from said that when he got it in 2012, he was able to turn the engine by hand, but then a divorce happened and he didnt touch the car since. I bought the car this year in 2019.
The car was ordered black paint, black vinyl top and black interior. The interior is in really good shape. Carpet was removed about 10 years ago by previous owners. Front floor pans need work-drivers side is worse than the passenger side. Rear floor pans are SOLID.
The dash is in great shape-no cracks. Factory AC car, Power Steering, Power Brakes (factory disc brakes up front). The car was also ordered with the gold stripe along the lower body. 80% OF THE paint is original. Sometime in the late 70"s or early 80"s it looks like the driver door and and driver quarter were repainted. Notice how it doesn"t have the gold stripe and the paint is shinier than the original?
The frame rails and rockers are in great shape. The rear passenger quarter has rot on the lower end behind the rear wheel. front fenders are repairable. both doors and the rockers are SOLID. Radio was removed along with antenna. The driver"s side glass is currently out of the car for repair. It is not damaged or cracked, but those windows were basically glued in at the factory and the glue was going. Rather than break the glass I have removed the window.
The vinyl roof must have went some time back. It has since been removed and the roof was cleaned up Por-15"d so that I could have had the new vinyl roof installed. Car is located in 07757(New Jersey) and is for sale locally as is, no warranty.
These cars continue to creep up in value and it would be an awesome restoration project for someone who has the time and know-how to get into it.
