Trying to buy something more suited for my needs. She has done great, but have a wish for something with a sleeper.
This truck is all original and does have some small issues but it runs strong and pulls these houseboats just fine.
Motor is the original 391 c.i. Industrial GAS V-8.
5 speed transmission with the split rear end. Yes, the split does work just fine.
Does have the 5th wheel plate.
New tires all the way around.
Not rusted thru anywhere. Very solid old truck.
It does have air brakes! Very rare option for these trucks on top of being a rare truck just by itself. Try to find another for sale that is still road worthy. . .
Things wrong with it?
-Spedometer cable is broke. Miles are unknown.
-Windshield wiper is air driven and it has a broken line. Just never drive it in the rain and I"ve never needed it.
-Weather stripping around windshield needs replaced.
It"s an unrestored 53 year old truck. Don"t expect showroom condition.
I still drive and use this truck frequently on the highway. This isn"t some farm truck that sits in the field
