The restoration was done about 35 years ago and is time for another. This is a nice project car that runs and drives with no major rusts issues, has current tags, inspection runs and drives great. Stops great. Steers straight. But not perfect, its a nice project car that has survived for 50+ years. Before you bid make sure you know these 5 things:
This is a 50 year old car and is not perfect. It is a project car that you drive right now but is not a show car. It looks really good in the pictures and is a 5 ft car. That means there are rust bubbles under the paint and you will need to completely strip down the paint and do some body work to fix a few dents and then repaint. There are cracks in the metal in the fender apron next to and in the shock towers. Previous owner cut the shock towers and they need some welding repair. I have been driving and fixing this mustang as I go and it runs drives great but its a project car. Perfect for fathers and sons. I purchased this vehicle out of Georgia and they do not have titles for antique vehicles. I live in Texas and titled the vehicle with a bonded title. This is the only way Texas DMV will register a vehicle which has never been registered in the state. Prior to title and registration, I had to take the mustang to the Duncanville Police Department Auto Theft Task force to have a VTR-68A completed. This is a background investigation on the VIN, vehicle parts, and to verify if there are any thefts reports. This was completed and provided to the Texas DVM which then gave me a bonded Title. A bonded title will convert to a regular title after 3 years in Texas. There are no liens
