Vehicle description
This is a 1969 Mustang Fastback. Originally a Black Jade, 302-2V car with a C4 automatic. Car has been verified by Marti Auto Works with the print out attached in a photo. This car now has a 351W with a C5 auto trans behind it. I believe this drivetrain is out of a later model pickup truck, but I"ve never tried too hard to figure that out. Starts right up and runs good. Could use a little tuning to really dial it in. Has a brand new aluminum dual plane intake, new fuel pump, a brand new HEI style distributor from summit, new plugs & wires, and topped off by an Edelbrock 600CFM vacuum secondary with an electric choke. Carb isn"t new but in great shape. Trans shifts good with no operational issues. New gas tank and sending unit. Trunk pan is solid.
Drum brakes front and rear. Newer master cylinder. Front brakes lines are less than 3 years old. Brakes in the rear are brand new along with the drums. Front brakes have also recently been replaced with new hardware and drums at the same time of the front brake line replacement. It does need a set of new tires all the way around.
This car is in great shape body wise. I was told the car was at a body shop for years, but was never quite finished due to financial reasons. Was likely never really driven and was always in covered storage for the past 10 years at least. No replacement body panels will be needed for this car. They are all in great shape. Under carriage wise, the car is well preserved compared to most Mustangs of this age. Passenger side floorboard has been replaced at one point. Where the leaf spring attaches to the rear frame rail on the passenger side, it is starting to rust and will need some attention in the near future. The underbody has minor surface rust with almost no rot. A good car to start a restoration with, or do a little work and drive it how it is. Many parts on this car could be painted with very little body time. Hood has a dent on the front nose, should be fixable. All the glass is good on the car. It is missing some exterior parts obviously. What you see in the pictures is what you get. I do have some chrome parts that will be included with this car such as the hood nose chrome strip, the drip rail chrome, and some other minor stuff.
Interior is very nice is this car. Headliner is in great shape, front seats were reupholstered at one point and still look nice, rear seat is missing the bottom portion unfortunately. Black carpet is still nice looking and was probably replaced later in it"s life. Dash pad is in perfect shape. Not a single crack on it. Car cleans up pretty nice on the inside.
Don"t hesitate to shoot me any me questions you have. If you want pictures of a specific area, let me know. I will do my best to get you a timely response. Thanks for looking!
