Vehicle description

This 1969 Mustang Mach 1 R code is equipped with the rare 428 Super Cobra Jet (SCJ) in Black Jade (original color) and black Mach 1 deluxe interior. It is teamed up with a 4 speed close ratio transmission and a 3:91 ratio traction lock 9” Nodular rear axle. Motor, transmission, and rear end are original to car and were all refreshed in the last 18 months and is a very strong running beast. Compression is at peak on all cylinders and heads were reworked. Car is bored 30 over with new pistons (original 1UA crank still in car). This car is showing its original and correct mileage at 39,198. I have original calipers and front end parts saved and they can be rebuilt if you want to go to next level. Suspension, interior, engine bay and undercarriage have also been rebuilt/redone to peak appearance/performance. Extreme care has been taken to have correct part numbers and date coded Holley Double Pumper Carb, Ford radiator, Autolite distributor, alternator, starter, water pump, belts, hoses, Carter fuel pump and Bendix brake booster. Smog pump is still there with Carter anti backfire cannister. Paint is about 12 years old and still looks great. Also has original wheels/centers/trim rings with new repro Goodyear Polyglas tires. All lights and gauges work. Clock rebuilt and ticks (no quartz). AM/FM radio rebuilt and working. Car is matched to original sticker options and according to the Marty report, is a 1 of 6 built with these options. I will include a framed “Elite” version of the Marti Report from 2015. Clear Georgia title. This is one of the last true affordable muscle cars of the 60’s, one that was intended to go from showroom to dragstrip.
