Vehicle description
1969 Ford F-250 Pick-Up, Long Wide Bed, 2WD, Explorer Edition. Original numbers matching 390 V8 Engine, 2-barrel Carb. Automatic 3 speed transmission. Factory power disc brakes, power steering, air conditioner, dual fuel tanks. After market aluminum radiator. This is a Special Explorer Edition.
Engine starts quick, runs well. Original miles on odometer is unknown. Transmission engages and shifts good. Engine may release small puff of smoke at start up, only when sitting without running for over 3 days. Otherwise, runs strong and smoke free, all day. No fouling of spark plugs. Carburetor idles well, manual choke works. Maintains well tuned. A/C compressor works, blower fan and controls work, all hoses and related a/c accessories are in place. Needs conversion to R134 Freon use. All electronic accessories work. Cab clearances lamps are add-ons. Differential 3:42 gear ratio allows for a smooth highway drive and fairly decent fuel mileage.
Truck metal panels show no sign of repairs, body filler or patching. Driver’s side door has a coved indention on lower panel, as seen on photos. No other major dents or damage visible. Undercarriage is rust free as seen on photos. Glass is in good shape, windshield is new. Window regulators and hardware work great. Doors close tight and lock with button or key. Bench seat is structurally sound but does have a tear on the vinyl upholstery. Floor has factory rubber cover. Tires are on 16 inch steel wheels. Tires have 80% thread left, run smooth and have no cracks or signs of dryness. This has been a West Texas truck since new. I have tried to describe the condition in as much detail, possible. I have driving this truck recently on 200 mile round trips and have experienced no problems. The description given is based on my experiences when driving this 50 year old, unrestored vehicle. Any possible issue is unknown to me Please feel confident to ask any questions, prior to bidding. Thank you for looking.
