Vehicle description

1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Hardtop Black Bucket Seat Interior AT PS PB Tach Gauges M-Code 351W 4v HP 131,289 Miles Please, no zero- or low-feedback offers without contacting me first; thank you. I would like to be able to speak with you in person before accepting any offer as high bidder, so please feel free to call. Tim 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 hardtop, ordered with the M-code 351W High Performance engine option, automatic transmission, XR-7 trim package, tachometer and gauge package, Magnum 500 wheels, and more. The interior is in good condition with the original black bucket seats, floor shifter, new headliner, new package tray, replaced carpet, and more. Not flawless, but more than presentable. Buy It Now includes replacing the front bucket seat bottom inserts with original Comfort Weave upholstery . The body is very straight, and “almost” completely rust free; just a couple small bubble-through spots. Old repaint in Bright Red over the original Medium Green metallic; some touch-ups but still very presentable. Vinyl top was replaced back then, and is still in good condition. Recent mechanical maintenance includes a fresh tune-up including plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, an oil change and new filter, fresh antifreeze, and a new Edelbrock carburetor. Starts easily, runs well. Miles are original at 131k and change. This is a rare opportunity to get into a classic muscle car at the right price. Clear title in my name, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. International buyers are welcome as long as you contact me first, and are able to pay promptly. Please be prepared to remit payment in full within 3 days of auction"s end via deposit to my Bank of America account, or bank-to-bank wire transfer. While every effort is being made to describe the Cougar as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 51-year-old classic and therefore being sold exactly as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. Expect minor gremlins and small issues associated with a vintage vehicle of this age and era. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I will make the vehicle and myself available for loading on short notice, and can help coordinate a carrier if that helps you. Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have. I reserve the right to end the auction early, as I have the car advertised locally as well. ~Tim 360-936-9257
