The 1968 - 1969 models got a completely redesigned interior and exterior. It would still be offered in a coupe and convertible but the coupe would now have a T-top.
The C3 Corvette offered many different engine options but the one that most people wanted was the 427ci V-8. This vehicle has the legendary 427ci engine that is paired with the 4 speed manual transmission. From the factory this engine was rated at 430HP and was the last year for the all-aluminum 427ci V-8. Car and driver was quoted with saying "The large-engine Corvettes are extraordinarily fast and civilized."
