Vehicle description

1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1 COPO Clone. Finished in Daytona Yellow, this car was built to replicate one of only 2 Daytona Yellow Camaro ZL-1’s produced in 1969. Frame off nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. 427 GM Anniversary Aluminum block engine. Chevrolet commissioned the limited-edition ZL1 in 2008 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its W-series big-block V-8, and this ZL1 is No. 5 of only 427 produced. This 427 CI V-8 is a continuation of the storied ZL1, created with the original 1969 tooling. The engine blocks were machined to a 4.25-inch cylinder bore and hand-fitted with L88-specification. This motor has Forged pistons, competition cam with solid lifters, aluminum intake and aluminum rectangular port cylinder heads. Like the original, the limited-edition ZL1 is conservatively rated for 430 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque. Following the production of exactly 427 ZL1 Anniversary engines, the historic tooling was permanently retired by Chevrolet. I have the engine certificate of authenticity and document from Schwartz Machine Company who made all these blocks for GM. Holley Carb. Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. Correct Hurst Shifter. 12 bolt positraction rear end. Correct curved neck radiator. Goodyear F70-14 Polyglas tires. Cowl induction hood. Correct painted wheels with hubcaps. Power brakes with front discs. Gardner Exhaust with big block deep tone, concours show package, and repro muffler and tail hangers. Radio delete.
