With Emissions regulations and an insurance crackdown, big engines, high speeds and unmentionable gas mileage were about to become memories. The Riviera was a pavement demon developing 360 rear horsepower. The Riviera was a little heavier but still good for 0-60 mph in 9.2 seconds and a 15.9 second quarter-mile. Top speed was an impressive 132 mph.
