Vehicle description
1969 Buick Riviera GS project. One of 5,272 Gran Sports built in 1969. Paint Code: #83-B Deep Gray Mist paint, Black Vinyl Top. Trim Code: #698 (Black Vinyl Bucket Seats), Build date: 12D. 84,792 miles which I assume is original. T wo owner car, and is still on the same title since 1973. The car does needs a total restoration, but definitely a worthy project. . has nearly every available option. I bought the a while ago car to restore, but I still have several other projects to complete.
The car is 52 years old, and untouched for 40. . so assume it will need everything . There are a few dings, and small repairable dents, but no collision damage. Condition of the engine/trans is unknown. The car is 100% complete nothing missing. The 430/4V motor, TH400 transmission, and 8.75 posi are original to the car. The back window leaked, and water accumulated over the years underneath the rear seat which caused it to rust out. The rest of the floors, trunk, doors, fenders, rockers, hood, and roof are all solid. All the glass is good, and the dash pad isn"t cracked. The door panels are good (except the carpet at the bottom). The passenger bucket seat has a small seam stitch that came loose. The carpet, and headliner are shot (along with the driver seat). The console is not broken, but the rear courtesy lens is gone. The exterior chrome will polish up well for a survivor including the rally wheels.
