Believed to be the PHILCO Radio corp. Factory show car AM/FM PHILCO stereo, other notable options include power windows, console, power front disc brakes, Tilt-away steering wheel/ standard on SHELBY MUSTANGS in 1969 very rare on any other model. Power steering, A/C, Tinted glass, Power top, and front bumper guards. Important things to note: this car has not been wrecked, in the front, both Ford “R” code hidden VIN numbers are correct and clearly photographed, nice core support, beautiful big block shock towers, original Buck Tag, original VIN tag and door warranty tag. Appears to be original paint car. The black areas are where the paint was stripped to bare metal then coated with POR 15 primer. Solid Texas car with some typical Cougar rust. Clear Texas title, Marti Elite Report and Statistical Analysis Report. To put in perspective how rare and special this “R” code Cougar convertible is, there were 335 GT 500 428 Shelby Convertibles built in 1969 and only 127 “R” code 428 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertibles built.
