Vehicle description

Hello and thanks for your consideration of my survivor SC/Rambler.
I bought this SC/Rambler in late 2010 from the original owner, who drove it about once a year and it had all of 43,000 miles on it when acquired. I possess the protecto-plate card, original MSRP sticker, and other original documents attesting to this vehicle’s authenticity. These documents are a rarity in the AMC world.
This SC is an excellent quality survivor car. It has most of its original paint and the interior is nearly completely original, save for the steering wheel resto and front seat bottoms. Even the carpet is fifty years old and is in great shape. This vehicle has never been taken apart for restoration. The SC has never been in a major accident nor has there been any major rust repair. Aside from its early beginnings in Massachusetts, it has been a west coast car its entire life. It hasn’t been subjected to conditions that promote rust. It’s solid and it shows.
Some drivetrain modifications were made to make the vehicle more compatible with freeway driving in Southern California. This vehicle has been driven for multiple hours on the freeway and I have enjoyed every minute of it. The SC has always been well maintained and therefore quite dependable. The vehicle is currently configured with an AMC 390 engine that is modified to go much faster than stock (about 425-450 hp); original T-10 transmission was overhauled last year; original engine is part of the sale and is ready to drop back into the engine bay, if desired; 3:08 ring/pinion gear set was installed (for freeway driving) and the 3:54 ring/pinion goes with the vehicle. All intake and exhaust manifold bits go with the car as well.
This SC is well-known in the AMC communities of Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada. I can provide names/contact info. of other well-known AMC enthusiasts who are familiar with this survivor SC.
There are many SCs for sale, but very few, if any, that are in as original shape as this one. I am serious about the sale of this SC and am disinterested in selling assistance, low-ball offers, etc. Also, the auction may be cancelled early due to advertising elsewhere. If you don"t have the funds, please don"t waste either of our valuable time. Fly out and drive it home!
