Vehicle description
I"ve owned this 1969 Duetto for over 20 years now. I bought it in Mill Valley, CA back in the late 90"s and have basically gone through everything on the car mechanically over the years. When I got the car I actually got the entire stack of records on the car going all the way back to 1969. A doctor in Berkeley, CA bought it originally and it"s stayed in Northern California it"s entire life. Sadly I had a break in years ago and the filing cabinet I had the records in were taken. I do however have most of the records (or can get them) while it"s been in my care.As you know this is probably the most desirable of the Duettos with the original 1750 engine. They only made 2200 of these for the US. 5600 total worldwide. From memory here"s the list of what I"ve done:Engine Rebuild to Euro spec. Euro Cams and 9.5:1 CompressionSpica was replaced with a 73 unit and rebuilt.Entire braking system rebuilt.Transmission rebuilt as the 2nd gear syncro was going outNew SeatsNew rubber mats throughoutNew door panelsNew door limitersNew door handlesNew side mirrorsNew rearview mirror with dome light (not connected)New top with zip down mirror (frame rebuilt)New panasport wheels and tires (sorry, original steel wheels and hubcaps are gone)New exhaustNew Koni shocksNew Koni red springsNew bushingsRear end replaced with a LSD from a 73 spiderNew wheel bearings.Body is in great shape. No rust. It was repainted a Ferrari red over the original Alfa orangy red.I have driven this car all over California. It"s been on many vintage driving events. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It"s rock solid and very fast. It"s been my favorite car and reluctantly selling to pool funds for a Ferrari. I have more photos and videos of it driving upon request.
