1968 Shelby GT500 KR. Marti report. Largely original. This car sat in a warehouse for 20+ years and was acquired this winter from consignment at a local dealer. Based on the information I have, this car was raced in its early years and sat in a warehouse since the 1980s. At some point along the way, the car was fitted with new headers for more HP (a common modification on these cars) and repainted black (original color is lime green). The center counsel was removed at some point (which I have replaced with an aftermarket part). The was car is also fitted with a Hurst shifter. Since I acquired this, its been completely serviced by a local vintage car mechanic to put this car in "everyday driver" condition. Breaks, break lights, carb, fuel pump and fuel tank were recently serviced. I had to replace the oil pressure gauge with an aftermarket part.All recent service records are available. Also happy to connect serious buyers with the mechanic who knows the ins and outs of this car. Its parked locally in SE Florida and available to be driven. The pros of this car is that its largely original and can be used as an everyday driver or taken the concourse route. Rust free. The car is FAST and ready to be enjoyed.
