1968 Porsche 912 Irish Green Euro heater RARE car! * Re-listed due to an international buyer who could not complete purchase.* His loss, your gain! 1968 Porsche 912 Irish Green Coupe. This is a barn find project which is VERY close to completion that the second owner who"s failing health did not allow them to complete the project. It has been stored in our warehouse for several years. Vehicle Drove into the warehouse under it"s own power and has sat since.

Here are the details as we know them- Purchased in 1968 by a member of the armed forces in Germany. This is a Euro spec car. After the original owner imported it and drove it around for years in Southern California, the second owner purchased it and decided to perform a repaint and took the original motor (included in this auction) out at the same time with the intention of a rebuild. After painting the vehicle, the owner still did not have the original motor rebuilt yet so he put a VW motor in so that he could enjoy driving this vehicle around occasionally when his health was up to it. The VW motor is adapted to the 5 speed Porsche transmission but a chain was used to mount the engine in as it was supposed to be very temporary, but unfortunately as the owners health diminished, he would not be able to complete the project. Vehicle is being offered for sale as a "near completion" project in need of a few parts, both the original matching numbers Porsche engine AND the VW engine as well as all the parts you see in the pictures. It is not currently running and needs a new battery as well as a flush of the fuel system but as you may know, these engines sure are easy to get running in their simplicity.

Condition- Overall condition of sheet metal is amazing for what looks like original factory metal!
