Vehicle description
1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 Ford 302 (4 barrel) motor Built in San Jose, CA
Teal paint Black vinyl top Black interior BF Goodrich TA tires in good condition
Vehicle has been stored indoors since 2005. Was recently fired and ran to check operation of vehicle. Fuel was flushed, oil/filter removed and replaced. New ignition coil and points/condenser installed. Could still use plugs, cap and rotor for a proper tune-up before running regularly
This car is in great condition.
Will include photos of pre-restoration, tons of service records and original manual.
Only issues I am aware of:
Intermittent ignition fault (solenoid) Front passenger side window crank knob missing Handful of small chips and faint scratches in exterior paint Three of the hub cap centers missing
* *Update after putting 150 or so miles on since bringing it out of storage, the forward drive geara began to slip. The car is currently being diagnosed and any bid or purchase at this time will be for the car as-is with probable dried/worn seals in the transmission* *
