what a car , besides being Mercury’s answer to the Mustang the Cougar is a few inches longer and a lot more comfortable. This car did not come from the factory with a 429 engine Mercury only made two of them with this engine and they were built for nascar. The engine in this car was blue printed and built by Winn Speed. It’s fast with less than 200 miles on the build. It’s tight and rides and drives good. It has one blemish on the hood you have to get close on to see it. The signal lights are not working now but I am going to look at them and try to correct that. The head light door has to be operated manual but the electric kit for them are fairly inexpensive. This is a fun car that you can cruise in or take to the track.
