Vehicle Details 1968 Jeepster Commando V6 project. My dad bought this vehicle in driving condition about 15 years ago with plans to upgrade it and use it at a lake house. Things have changed and the project wasn’t finished. Clear Texas title in hand. The original V6 engine was removed for rebuilding and is in pieces but included in the sale. Vehicle rolls easily and will easily winch onto a trailer. All 3 seats are included as it is the original steering column. Plans were to convert to Saginaw power steering and a Saginaw steering box, power steering pump, and V6 power steering exhaust manifold is included. The original steering box and tie rods are still there and function well enough to push the car around but the steering components on the car are only hand tight and will need to be replaced or otherwise gone through. The vehicle is originally a 3 speed manual, but my dad wanted an automatic and purchased an original Turbo 400 Jeepster automatic transmission and transfer case for installation. This is included in the sale. This automatic transmission was removed from an operating Jeepster that had an engine swap and is supposed to be in good condition, but this is unverified. The original 3 speed and transfer case is included also. This Jeepster has a very solid body and under-carriage which is unusual for these vehicles. While it is a 50 year old car and I’m sure it does have some rust and filler in it somewhere, the floors, frame, and body are very solid. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability. While solid for its age, the car is over 50 years old and does have some rust dents and scratches. The car is being sold in an “as is where is” condition with all known and unknown faults. There shall be no warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied. The car is available for inspection with prior arrangements being made.
