Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1968 Ford Mustang is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for car shows. Seller"s Notes Please inspect the car or have someone you trust inspect the car-it is a very special car that would be the star at a car show in the survivor tent. Vehicle Details Up for consideration is a 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible, Sunlit Gold Orginial paint Convertible. The car was recently purchased from the orginial owner in November of 2020. The car is so orginial that I am nervous to even drive it. The car has the orginial drivetrain, orginial interior and even the orginial convertible top. The car even has the factory exhaust, although the muffler looks new to me. The only thing that I have done are replacing the orginial tires (these may have been replaced in the 70s-they are bias tires) with Coker American Classic radial tires and Wheels Vintiques Magnum 500 rims-they probably have 20 miles on them. I also had the orginial carburetor rebuilt because it was leaking fuel. I retained the orginial rims and tires for show car purposed and because they look cool. I also have the orginial hubcaps. I have service records dating back to 1999. I noted that brakes and tune up were done about 5 years ago and the oil was changed at least every year. The mileage is accurate and reflected in the title. The mileage may change since I try to run it every week. The good: This is an all orginial car the paint and all orginial sheet metal. There are some minor dings and the edges of the car is starting to show through. The interior is orginial however the orginial owner put in a 70s Panasonic radio with speakers in the quarter trim panel. The door panels the trim is starting to flake but again I didn’t want to mess with it because it is correct (new ones are about $70.00). The car even has the orginial correct voltage regulator. The bad: The radiator is starting to sweep, so I would replace that and all of the hoses. There is also a little rust spot on the driver door and back quarter panel. I also noticed that the rear differential is wet-I added about 1/2 pint of fluid. The engine is dirty put I didn’t notice a drips in the driveway. I also noticed the fuel gauge is not working-the sending units are about $50 and the unit is on the side of the tank, so you don’t have to drop the tank. If you have any questions, please let me know-you can certainly inspect the car with prior notice. Successful bidders will be required to make a non-refundable deposit of $500. I will assist with shipping but the cost is obviously on the buyer. I have a clean title in my hands. The car will not leave until funds have cleared. I would prefer cash so that we can complete the purchase. Thanks Exterior Interior Engine Engine and factory tag Download the Motors app
