75,000 original mile unrestored car. Stills wears its 1968 factory applied paint, original seats, convertible top, interior. . . . and it"s beautiful. This is a car that is ready to compete in national shows in the "Unrestored Class" and can serve as a reference car for authentic restorations. It does have a few beauty marks as you would expect.
I"m the third owner of this car. The first two owners lived in Long Beach, California until the times of their passing. The second owner was so proud of the car he had a vanity plate made that reads "68 ORGNL" The car was last registered in California in 1991. It has been in my climate controlled barn for the last two years, prior to that, it sat on jack stands in a garage in Long Beach for decades.
289 V8 Automatic. The car starts, stops and runs excellent. Drives at highway speeds and around town without issues or problems. Does not overheat. Engine/trans does not leak or make strange noise. Excellent oil pressure as seen on gauge. Shifts like a well maintained 75,000 mile car.
Every body panel is original to the car including the floors and trunk. There has been ZERO paint work ever done to this car. The only known items that have been replaced are the carpet( I have the original carpet) front bumper, water pump, upper radiator hose, battery cables, heater core and hoses and the tires and battery. There may be other items replaced but they are not apparent. The car still has original FORD embossed fan belts!
