Vehicle description
Original "S" Code, Highland Green 1968 Mustang Fastback GT 390 with the Original 390 engine, 4 speed transmission complete with original shifter with reverse lock-out. It had been repainted Candy Apple Red at some point in time. The car was last registered in 1979 and has been garaged ever since. It was totally disassembled for restoration and never completed. I re-assembled the car to see what parts were there. It does not run or drive but overall it is a solid car in need of total restoration. The original 390 engine is seized from sitting all these years and needs to be rebuilt. The 390 still has the engine I.D. tag and original Holley Carburetor. Included with the car is an original N.O.S. Ford hood still in the box and original N.O.S. Ford left and right front fenders that I unwrapped to hang on the car but I still have the wrappers from Ford. The original black bucket seats had been replaced with tan bucket seats. From what I can tell, these are the parts that are missing from the car: Headlight Buckets, Steering Wheel, Radio, Driveshaft, Radiator and Shroud, Upper Shock Tower Supports, Tail Light Bezels, Air Cleaner, Wheel Center Caps and Beauty Rings. The left rear quarter and trunk pan have been repaired and the front end has been hit at some point. This car would make an awesome Steve McQueen "Bullitt" re-creation tribute car. It is the same year, make, model and correct Highland Green color. Please contact me with any questions. I can supply pictures of anything that you would like to see before and after I assembled it. Thank you for your interest!
