Vehicle description
Vehicle Details ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 1968 FORD F-100 Longbed. 360 c.i. V-8, C-6 Trans, 3-speed manual (3 on the tree). Full Restoration recently completed. I have all receipts and some photos. I even have a copy of the 1968 original bill of sale from Adamson Ford in Birmingham, AL. Painted in factory original Peacock Blue and Wimbledon White (was stripped to bare metal). Engine powder-coated in Ford Blue. Engine has only approx. 3,000 miles since rebuild (odometer recently turned over for the first time while driving across the mountains in Oxford, AL., currently shows 277 miles!). Extremely dependable. .have driven it from Columbus GA to north Alabama several times, and to Pigeon Forge TN for the F-100 Nationals. .never any issues and she performed like a champ! It even has a spare mounted underneath and I recently installed a brand new wiper-washer reservoir, pump and lines. A pleasure to drive! I can't stop anywhere without compliments. Even the cigarette lighter works (I don't smoke but it's great for cell phone charging). All that said, this is not a $60K Concourse Trailer Queen and it is not perfect, but darn close. And it's definitely worth more than the Reserve I have set. It has a few minor flaws, such as: I removed and painted the headliner but it is the original and has flaws, the horn doesn't work, the driver side tag light is out, and the interior fan doesn't work (but it must be a simple connection problem because the blower motor has power and the fan control knobs all have resistance), and there is a small crack in the center of the original dash (see photo), but I didn't want to remove an otherwise very nice original dash. .same feeling I had about that original flawed headliner. A very short list of very minor flaws. As close to original as this truck is, please note that the hubcaps in the photos are from various1955-1957 Ford model vehicles, BUT I HAVE THE ORIGINALS. .they just weren't nice enough to leave on the vehicle once I got it back from paint. Also, the slider-style rear window is not factory, but with no A/C I really wanted that extra airflow for summer driving. I installed a factory-look modern radio with connections for MP3, etc. But I don't have the factory original radio, as it was not in the truck when I bought it. You can bid with confidence that this truck is fantastic, but I really urge any serious bidder to come see the truck and drive it! * DO NOT BE OFFENDED - AS A FORMER FINANCIAL CRIMES INVESTIGATOR, I WILL NOT RELEASE THE TRUCK AND TITLE UNTIL THE PURCHASER AND I HAVE CONFIRMED WITH MY BANK THAT THE FUNDS ARE LEGITIMATE AND IN MY ACCOUNT! * * I reserve the right to sell this vehicle locally and end the auction without notice.* Images Download the Motors app
