Vehicle description
You are bidding on a 1968 Chrysler New Yorker With a 440ci, 4-barrel engine with dual exhaust and an automatic transmission. It has been driven 109,494 miles. This Luxury four door hardtop runs and drives well. The Body is in amazing condition for its age, with no dents. The finish is not perfect with some nicks and scratches in some areas, but it shines good still. The Second owner bought the car in California where it spent most of its life. They don’t salt the roads in California and asa result, the frame has no rot at all, and undercarriage is very clean. The floors and trunk are solid with no rot orholes. The vinyl roof is in very good condition. The Engine was missing when we purchased this car, so we bought a very low miles 440 ci engine, freshened it up with all new gaskets and fluids, cleaned it and painted it with heat proof engine paint. The transmission was rebuilt 3 years ago and shifts as it should. The exhaust is brand new from the manifolds to the tail pipes. There is a new battery. The Tires and brakes are good. There Is a rip in the driver’s side of the front split bench seat, so we are using a seat cushion to cover the rip (the front passenger bench seat is intact.) The Dash has no cracks, the headliner is tight with no rips or tears and the carpet is in fairly good condition. The rear seat is in great shape. The power seats are working very well. You Have to wiggle the button that controls the driver’s side window to get the window to go up and down, and this switch needs to be replaced. These Classic Mopar"s are getting harder to find and the prices are through the roof. T his car is not perfect but it"s going to be very affordable.
