Up for sale is my 1968 Chevy impala 2 door custom . This impala runs and drives . I bought it from a gentleman in the dubuqe Iowa area. He had originally purchased the car in 1975 when he was 16. He drove it a while as a kid then ended up selling it when he turned 22 to a close friend. The friend bought it and ended up storing it and used it as a toy here and there until he stored it for years. Around 4 years ago the friend gifted the car back to the guy I got it from so that he would have his childhood car back. He stored it while working it on to restore it. He replaced the 307 v8 as it went bad from sitting in storage and put in a rebuilt 350 v8. He did minor things like add the wheels , put on dual exhaust, installed rear air shocks etc. I ended up hearing about the car and I made a offer to buy it to add to my collection and use in the local holiday parade that occurred this week. I decided to put it for sale before the cold snow winter months really hit so I would not have to store it until spring. The car starts right up and the 350 v8 engine runs great . The gauges were working and the radio and heater control works good. The lights and wipers are working. I though the front brakes could be done better but usable the way they are. It ran and drove very well as a survivor type car. I had it up to 65 mph easily and it cruised nice. The dual exhaust sounds awesome with a nice rumble . The windows go up and down easily. Cosmetically the car looks really clean for not being restored . The paint has minor survivor flaws like minor scuffs/dings/blemishes etc, nothing overly crazy from 10 feet away but you see them right next to the car. Best to watch the video and pics as I really focused on anything there. Very solid car. The underside looks solid, good, and clean. The trunk pan looks good. The interior is survivor quality and usable but there was wear staring on the front seat. The dash looks good. The dash pad had a sun wear crack on a spot or two. again, really best to watch the video and call me with any questions. It has a clean and clear title ready to go. 563 568 1186.
