Vehicle description

I restored this Skylark in my garage, in 2016. I am a hobbyist, and not a professional, but I have restored a number of cars. Overall, this car came out great. It gets "thumbs up" , smiles, and waves, whenever I"m out in it. I love the car, and the only reason I"m selling it, is so I can restore another Skylark with my son. If you want a perfect show car, this is not your car, and the pricing reflects that. The paint and body work have a few imperfections, but for a 52 year old restored car, it looks amazing. I consider it a "beautiful, driver quality car". Some of the highlights: - - - Strong Buick 340 engine, very reliable, strong acceleration. Loves cruising at 70 mph, or just around back roads, or around town. - New Convertible top, with glass window. Professionally installed, top opens and closes great. - Hidden modern stereo in glove box, with CD player, bluetooth, and mp3. - Lights, speedometer and turn signals work perfectly. Gas gauge needs a better ground, or sendiing unit. - Garage kept, always. - Runs cool. 190 degrees, all day long. - Original patina interior, no rips or tears in seats. New Carpeting. - Modern oil pressure, voltage, and temperatue gauges installed. Amazing oil pressure, 60PSI ! - 3:42 Posi rear end installed, and rear sway bar. Car handles very nicely. - New Undercarriage paint, and details. New suspension bushings, tie rods, control arms, etc. Undercarriage shines! - Paint is base coat/ clear coat. Pearl white metallic and black racing stripe. - Both front and rear bumpers were re-chromed. - HEI distributor. New plugs, wires, carburetor. Heads and intake manifold hot tanked, and re-installed. No leaks, or problems, ever - Console/ Horseshoe shifter. Very rare and expensive detail, few Skylarks survived with this option in tact. Looks incredible Issues: - Slight bubbling above rear wheels. See picture. Overall, very minor, but these cars known to have rust issues in wheelwells. - Could use new windshield. Glass is scratchy, and a little tough to see clearly at night. - Some other 50 + year old bumps/lumps/scratches, but very minimal.
