1968 AMC AMX. 390 4 spd Go Pkg "X" code P/disc brakes, P/S, 3:15 Posi rear , Hialeah Yellow with black interior. The prior owner had begun a restoration in the 1990"s and was garaged from 1995 thru June 2020 when I purchased the car from a his widow in South Carolina, she decided to move and get rid of his projects. I finished dismantling the car and had it stripped to bare metal. The both quarter panels were replaced with drop downs. Two small patches were installed in each rear foot well and the remaining floor pan and trunk were excellent. Front and rear unirails and front troughs were all solid. The engine assy, trans and rear end are original to the car. The engine was freshened up, trans and rear end rebuilt. Hooker long tube Competition plus ceramic headers and Hurst Competition shifter installed to increase drivability. New exhaust system front to rear fabricated. KYB gas shocks all around, new rear springs, front suspension bushings, tie rod ends and links replaced. Front disc brakes converted to the newer GM calipers and rotors (original AMC units go with car). Interior redone with Legendary correct 68 covers and new foam, new rugs, new correct headliner and all remaining pieces redyed to match. New HD alum radiator, rebuilt heater box and new heater core. Windshield and rear window replaced new due to scratches. Front and rear bumpers, taillamps, and trim pieces replaced with new. Paint is Dupont two stage base and clear throughout. . body, trunk and engine compartment in the original color shade. The drivers door spec tag is intact, this as a very late 1968 model. .July 68. The original Magnum wheels are in good shape although the R/R has some pitting. The original owners manual included. AM/FM with Bluetooth radio. Wipers work 2 speeds but do not always park. There is a repaired crack on the upper dash at the defroster duct opening. There is a late model space saver spare tire, jack and covers in the trunk. Some original parts, restoration books, diagrams included. Car is for sale locally and there are no implied or expressed warrantees. Inspections are encouraged and all questions will be answered promptly.
