Vehicle description
Up for sale is my "68 Rebel SST. Runs, drives and stops but needs carb work. Actually, with some carb work and a little tuning, the car could become a driver. Has 343 2bbl engine/auto, and if you"re familiar with these Rebels, you"ll know that most of these came with 290s. Brakes are power drum. I discovered some receipts in the glove box from previous about work done to the car in the early 2000"s, which included pulling the engine, inspecting and regasketing. Many other things done as preventive maintenance including dropping the fuel tank, cleaning and installing. This means the fuel gauge actually works! Rims do not go with the car. Rollers will be put in their place.
The rust is mainly on the rh rear quarter and trunk area which is pictured. The drivers floor pan with need addressed as well. Again, if familiar with the Rebels/Ambassadors, you"ll know that the doors are always rusted on the lower rear corners. These doors are solid! Other note worthy problem areas that are free from rust are the wheel well flairs and around the SST "bullet" inserts.
The interior is all there but will of coarse need work if restoring. The plus side to that are the door panels are near perfect and won"t need major work. Will need a new turn signal switch. Has original "Rambler" stamped floor mats! Nice "lil bonus.
Located in Central Florida 32764. Paypal deposit of $500 to be made within 24 hours. Full payment to be made in full within 7 days by cash, cashiers check or money order. I will assist shipping company if needed and storage won"t be a big deal within reason. Thanks for looking. All questions welcome!
