Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1967 Sunbeam Alpine is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work. Vehicle Details Older restoration. Originally a Southern California car. No rust. Inoperable - owner stopped driving it 7 years ago due to health - has been sitting in garage since. Interior decent enough - two tears in seat cushions. Convertible top is there, as well as top frame and bows. Hardtop headliner and sun visors appear good. Has a roll bar with pad installed. Odometer is original, however motor was overhauled within last 5000 miles. Numbers matching original drivetrain. Inoperable now - has been sitting too long. Coolant appears good. Oil appears good. Put in new battery, but was unable to get it to crank and don’t have time to try further. Has electric fuel pump in place of mechanical one - verified that it works. Has Weber? Carburetor and single manifold in place of Strombergs. Heater is bypassed. Both master cylinders have drained down, so all hydraulics will need to be gone through. Gear selector moves through all the gears. Expect to go through at least a mild mechanical refurbishment - seals and gaskets for sure. This was my mother’s car and I have driven it about 7-8 years ago at which time it worked fine. I am not a car mechanic, so I cannot answer many questions beyond what I have stated here. Expect to do mechanical work. The wonderful Lucas electrical seems to be holding up (wipers, lights), but harness looks original, so… Has full size spare tire. All tires look brand new, but must be from at least seven years ago. Car will have to be flat-bedded / towed away at buyers expense. Must be fully paid for and picked up within one week of winning bid. No guarantees on this 54 year old car. It’s pretty - paint shines but has chips here and there. Will be a nice classic for someone. Exterior 1967 Sunbeam Alpine with removable hardtop Interior Older restoration. Originally a Southern California car. No rust.
