Vehicle description
For sale is an extremely rare and collectible 1967 Saab 96 with the two stroke engine, the last year before they switched to the V4.
The car hasn"t been driven in years and will need completely gone through and restored. The engine is frozen but can possibly be freed up, or there is otherwise a surprising number of people around that rebuild them. Included are two workshop manuals I"ve sourced to help with the restoration. It also has the original owner"s manual.
The body and undercarriage are super solid, just some minor surface rust here or there. I don"t think you"ll find a better foundation for a restoration anywhere. That said, I was actually going to drive it in as-is "survivor" condition, because it"s still wearing all its original paint apart from the left rear fender.
The car seems to be all there. If there"s anything it"s missing, it can"t be much. It has the cylinder head, the three carb setup, and so on.
The driver"s door doesn"t latch, I"m not sure why.
The previous owner told me the car was running when parked, so you can take that for whatever it"s worth.
NOTE: Mileage on title is listed as Beyond Mechanical Limits.
The rear brakes are a bit hung up but it does roll.
Clean and clear Ohio title in my name.
Car is sold completely as is. No guarantee or warranty of any kind expressed or implied.
Transporting the vehicle is to be arranged for and paid for by you, the buyer.
$500 Paypal deposit due within 48 hours of auction"s end. Remainder due via cash or bank check within 7 days of auction"s end. Car is expected to be removed from premises within 7 days of auction"s end.
Happy to answer any questions. Thank you and good luck!
