Vehicle description
Well it’s time to let go of my GTO. I like to think of it as the “Fountain of Youth” because I feel like I’m 17 every time I drive it. The truth is that’s it’s kinda a distraction to me getting my 32 Coupe finished so here’s the story. .
I’ve owned it for about 2 years and before it came my way the last time it was on the road was 1986. It needs a little finishing like the front bumper is just driver quality with some pitting, the reverse lights and radio aren’t hooked up and it does have a couple of dings and chips in it.
That being said since I’ve owned it the following has been done:
Repainted it’s original Cameo Ivory
New brakes, lines, shoes, master cyl, wheel cyl, hoses, drums
New weatherstripping completely
New headliner
New carpet New armrests and based
New door handles inside and out
New window cranks
Cleaned gas tank
New heater core
New sending unit
Fresh fluids everywhere
New dual exhaust
Fresh tune up
HEI ignition
New engine wiring harness
New rear bumper
I’m sure there’s more. The windshield and rear window were taken out when it was painted and the window channels were nice and all trim clips were replaced. Trunk floor has had body mount patches welded in and floor is solid as a rock with a couple of old patches in it. Quarters and rockers are nice with no patches. The doors, fenders, hood and deck lid are all really nice. It was originally a 325 hp motor with a manual 3 speed trans now it has a 1968 350hp 400 motor out of a Grand Prix and a Muncie 4 speed. The rear is a factory 3.90 posi. It has the perfect old school stance with Cragar SS wheels and bias ply tires. I have the Pontiac Historical Services paperwork for the car verifying what it is also.
The car gets more looks and starts more conversations than you can imagine. It runs like champ and its a blast to drive! Happy to answer any questions you have, show the car to you or someone you want to check it out and will work with your shipper. $500 non refundable deposit through Paypal after winning bid. Please don"t bid if you cant complete payment. If you are new to or have under 10 feedback please contact me before bidding. There is a very reasonable reserve the car is here to sell!
