Vehicle description
Up for your consideration is my 1967 Plymouth GTX located in Crosby, Texas which is a suburb to the NE of Houston that I am reluctantly offering for sale. I’m starting a new business and will use the proceeds to fund my new venture. The car has been upgraded by nationally recognized MOPAR legend, Paul Wright, which includes the installation of a Holley Terminator programmable Electronic Fuel Injection System, Wilwood Front Disc Brakes, new Air Conditioning system by Vintage Air, power brake booster, power steering pump, FlowKooler water pump, SPC Performance Front Adjustable Control Arms, MSD Distributor/Digital 6AL/wires and coil, complete front end rebuild kit, new tail finish panel, new dash bezel and glovebox surround with pristine chrome. My goal was to make the car reliable, safe and comfortable. Check, check and check. Prior to my acquisition the car had undergone a restoration where it received new paint and a Legendary interior several years ago. Once restored the car was only driven to and from car shows as I was told and, no, not by a little old lady from Pasadena. It was loved by the previous owner and it shows. The story as shared with me is that this car has some racing pedigree and no longer sports the original 440. Apparently it blew an engine and sat idle for many, many years before restoration and although I am unable to document it, legend is that the displayed mileage of 22,XXX is accurate due to its out of commission status. There are hints of its racing pedigree and I will gladly share what I know. Prior to and since Paul Wright’s upgrades the car has barely been driven by me and has NEVER been shown at any Texas car shows or meets so it’s a Texas virgin. It’s by no means a garage queen or 100 point car, but, it can easily be driven with confidence with cold A/C blowing in your face and is an absolute attention getter. Go to almost any car show and you’ll see half a dozen 1 st gen Camaros and Mustangs…. you’ll never see a 1 St gen GTX! This is a genuine RS23 car that can be enjoyed now and create lifelong memories. Personal inspection is encouraged prior to bidding and I do have a lift at my disposal. My reserve price is reasonable and realistic for a usable classic. Thank you for your consideration and happy bidding.
