Vehicle description
After 20 years of ownership I am regretfully selling my 1967 Morris Minor, aka "Mister Blue". I have had four Morrises plus several MGs and other British cars but this one is my favorite. I purchased this car in Soquel, CA in "99 and brought it to OR nine years later. It has always been garaged when not in use. The paint is the original color, Trafalgar Blue, as evidenced by its Heritage Certificate. I believe it was repainted once. It has a few nicks and blemishes but still gets compliments.
The body shows no exterior rust, naturally the underside has the usual surface rust as any old car would. There is some bubbling in the paint on the passenger side door, just below the pinstripe. The interior is a very attractive light blue and the headliner is good. I added the extra gauges in front of the driver to get a better idea of what the engine is doing. The stock Minor has only a gas gauge! The turn signal lever has a green light on the end that flashes when turning. Looks very cool at night! All instruments, lights, wipers and horn work. Odometer shows 16522 miles but actual mileage is unknown.
The clutch and transmission work fine. The engine runs as smooth as a watch, with no smoke! The brake system does need a new master cylinder before the car can be driven but it can be loaded onto a trailer using the parking brake.
Included is a pile of manuals - just about everything available for this car - and all records for the last 20 years. Also included is a poster that can be displayed with the car at shows and the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate which is the "pedigree" of the car.
This little Morris will get attention wherever you go. The ladies say, "It"s so Cute!" and "It"s adorable!" People will come up to you and ask questions wherever you park so allow a few extra minutes on your errands.
Successful bidder to pay $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of purchase. Balance to be paid by bank-to-bank money transfer within one week of purchase. Due to its age the car is sold "as is" with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
No bids will be accepted by anyone with an unfavorable feedback rating or with zero feedbacks. This is because of previous experience.
Please do your homework and get shipping estimates before bidding! Please do not bid unless you are willing and able to follow through on the transaction. I am not a dealer, just a car nut as you probably are. I deal honestly and fairly as evidenced by my feedback rating.
