Relisting due to a nonpaying bidder. Please have your finances in order before bidding. Up for auction is a VERY CLEAN 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7 with its numbers matching drivetrain! This is an all numbers matching car. As far as I can tell there is no bondo in the car and no signs of any accident damage. Its original colors are Lime Frost with Ivy Gold interior. There is some typical rust in the lower parts of the doors and the lower rear parts of the 1/4 panels as always. The floors and trunk pans are in great shape and rust free, even the battery tray apron is rust free. This is an A code 289 car with C4 Automatic transmission with a 9" 3.00:1 limited slip rear axle. The car is equipped with Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, A/C, Tachometer, map lights, Tilt steering column, deluxe interior, console, AM/FM radio. The A/C Compressor and Radio are the only 2 things missing from the car. The tilt column is in the trunk as it was removed before I purchased the car and a nontilt column was installed in its place. But everything for the tilt column is still here and comes with the car. The car did have a vinyl top and it was removed also before I purchased the car but all the trim is still here and on the car except for the XR7 emblems. They got lost but the holes are still in the roof to mount them. The hood, trunk and doors all open and shut nicely and the car rolls and steers great. The original 289 runs real good off a bottle and will hold an idle. Will need the brakes gone through before trying to drive it. This car has been sitting for about 5 years off the road. I have a video of it running I can email you if you send me your email address. I also have the Marti report for the car and the original engine and axle tags for it. This is a very solid super clean nice buildable car that needs a good home. I just don"t have the time to build it. A $500.00 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of auction with the remaining balance due within 7 days of the end of auction.
