About this vehicle This 1967 Mercury Cougar 5.8 is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Seller"s Notes WINNER MUST IMMEDIATELY MAKE $1000 DEPOSIT BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING OR LOCAL PICK UP Vehicle Details 1967 Cougar XR7 Originally an A code 289, auto, power steering, power disc brakes, AC car. Currently: Car has a 408 Windsor Stroker with 11. 1/2 to 1 compression, trick flow heads and intake, fully balanced rotating assembly, MSD distributor and 6AL ignition, aluminum radiator, electric fans. Power runs through and shiftkitted C4 with 3000 stall to 9" rear-end with mossier axles, a currie nodular iron third member with an Eaton true trak with 3.89 gears. The car runs through headman headers with 2 1/2 inch single chamber flows and X- pipe. It rides on 15 X 6 torq Thrust D's on 26 X 7.50 R15LT Hoosiers and 15 X 8.5 on 29 X 12.50 out back. Car has Caltracks and runs on Caltrack shocks at all four corners. Car has been painted on, but never restored. Has some typical rust, shown in the pictures, but not rotted out. As far as these cars go, it's extremely solid! Comes with Original motor, as well as, Original hood. I have all the power accessories stored in totes. I have the original window sticker and plates and years of receipts. I'm the third owner and have had the car for six years. It's been fun, but it's time to buy a house and sacrifices must be made.
