Vehicle description

The Absolute Ultimate Mustang fastback project car. It doesn"t get any easier than this. Build or restore the way you want! From a stock restoration to the ultimate pro touring muscle car. This is a real deal fastback with a clean Washington State title. I purchased this car in 2009 after successfully building and selling a very high quality certain movie car. The car came from Montana. This was to be the next, however, life happens. After sitting on the car for this period of time it was decided to liquidate not only this project but a number of others. This is the last one. I took the time and money to completely restore the body of this car, Exterior, interior and underneath. There is not a spec of rust in it. The body was completely blasted after removing the quarter panels, outer wheelhouses and drop off panels. The typical problematic areas. The remainder of the body was extremely solid with a minimal amount of repair. New drop off panels, outer wheelhouse panels and quarter skins were then very professionally install with all seams butt welded and hammered smooth. A new door skin was determined to be the best approach for the driver door. The passenger door was like a brand new door with not hardly a ding in it and not a spec of rust. The radiator support was also replaced to make sure the front of the body was as perfect as the rest. A torque box on the passenger side was welded into place to help with the structure of the car in case it is determined to add a little horsepower. After all of the metal work was perfected it was put in the booth and literally after about 2-3 hours of blowing and cleaning the correct red oxide epoxy primer was sprayed on the underside as well as inside the car in case someone wants to do a correct restoration on the car. Black epoxy primer was sprayed on the exterior and engine area of the car as well as all of the other parts. RM EP series epoxy was the primer of choice(best epoxy on the planet!). There are numerous new parts installed as well as included. Bumpers, windshield, dash panels, many of the moldings, emblems, hardware, etc. The idea was to make this car as complete as possible with only the items that you would normally purchase new to be the ones left up to the new owner. Wheels are 17" Polished Americans. Glass has been dry installed for shipping purposes with new rubbers. Windshield moldings are literally just set into place for photo opp. Rear moldings are held in place with just a few clips. The engine in the car is a 351 windsor that was out of a 1987 Bronco. It was used as a mock up engine for the 427 Cobra motor that was used in the movie car. I purchased it from a local salvage yard as a running core engine. That is all I know about it. It spins nicely and is actually pretty clean when I pulled the valve cover off. I did install a front sump pan to be able to install into the car. Edelbrock carb is sitting on top. New headers as well. A core C4 transmission was used to complete a useable drivetrain set up. Also included in the auction is the motor that cam out of the car when I had purchased it. Upon research it is a 1980 vintage 302 but would work well for someone trying to do a more stock appearing restoration. Both engines were completely stripped down and cleaned(all paint removed) and sprayed with correct Ford blue. The 302 is loosely assembled and will be broken down and set carefully into the car on a wood mini pallet. In other words just the short block. Heads will be separate. All of the extra parts are now boxed up and everything will be contained in the car upon shipping. There is one correct seat that came with the car when I got it. Also one black incorrect later seat as well as the ones that were installed in the car that are some kind of deluxe seat. All rear seat and panels are there. I have numerous photos of everything including close up of the parts that are laid out. Tons of rubbers, hardware packs, misc. small parts.
Many photos of the quarter installation so you can see the quality of the metal work. There is not an ounce of body filler on the car. This is just how straight and ready for finish bodywork it is. All panels have been fit and gapped to a better than stock fit. Tons of rubbers, hardware packs, misc. small parts. All work was done by Kevin Bischoff of Kevin"s Restoration in Vancouver, WA at my home shop. See my website to get an idea of the quality of work we do at www.kevinsrestoration.com. If you are interested in having us finish the car that is something I would be happy to discuss with you. Please contact me with any questions or for any additional photos. I am more that happy to supply. Also happy to show you photos of the certain "movie car" that was built in 2009. Oh and correct door tag was ordered up and installed from Kevin Marti. It has all of the correct information on it from the Marti report. Willing to assist with shipping and will be shipped from a commercial address. A $500 immediate deposit will be required with a final successful bid. Seller has the right to end the auction early if it has not hit the reserve as it is for sale locally but only by word of mouth. It is not being advertised on any other site. Happy bidding!
